Each confirmand is asked to help lead worship by serving as an acolyte. The sign-ups for this are located on the door of the sacristy but you can also call or email the office!

Confirmation Project
For many years, students at Trinity have completed a group project as the capstone to their Catechism classwork. We are in a time of transition as we invite our third-year confirmands to choose from the individual projects below or propose their own idea. The project should take 2-4 hours to complete and is meant to be fun and not a punishment!
The due date is October 17, 2026. You’ll have an opportunity to share your completed project with the other Confirmation students in class on October 18, and it will be displayed at our Confirmation Luncheon on Saturday, October 24.

- Bible
Retell a Bible Story for a modern audience. Make a video, screenplay, comic book, or piece of creative writing or artwork. What does this story teach us about God? What does this story teach us about people? How is it relevant in our time?
- Theology
As part of the Confirmation service, you will promise that you intend to continue in the covenant God made with you in holy baptism (find them on pg. 236 at the front of the red hymnal). Write an essay or create artwork about these five promises from the liturgy and what they mean to you. - Worship
Try your hand at writing a hymn or sermon! Take a scripture reading from worship and create a short reflection (no more than 2 pages!!) that talks about God’s heart and desire for God’s people. Alternatively, craft the lyrics of a hymn (you can use an existing hymn tune!!) based on this scripture. - Spiritual Practices
Take up a daily spiritual discipline for two weeks and keep a journal about your experience. This may look like singing/playing hymns from the hymnal every evening, reading a devotional or from your Bible every morning, or taking time to pray the Lord's Prayer at the same time every day. You might try creating a scrapbook of your prayers (the people and activities in your life)... . For your final presentation, compile the information into a written reflection, poster, or slideshow. You don’t have to share the journal entries/content (though you may if you want!), but you should reflect on the experience of it.
